Crested Butte - 2003
3/05/2003
My entire family (me, wife, kid, mom, dad, brother, his wife
and their two kids - phew) just returned from another ski trip to Crested
Butte, Colorado. Our family has been going to Crested Butte for...over
ten years, I think. Yeah, pretty sure about that. Anyway, it was another
WONDERFUL trip. We had LOTS of snow. I talked to someone who said
they got almost three feet of new snow in the days preceding our arrival. Sweet!
The kids were anxious to play in the snow....
...and so were the adults.
Lauren enjoyed the sled this year.
(Last year was....a... challenge)
She especially enjoyed riding with Trey - WEEEEEEE!!
Somebody, STOP THOSE KIDS - RUNAWAY KIDS!!
My folks are great for putting up with all my shenanigans.
I've hidden a few surprises on this webpage. Don't get too excited - it's just a few video clips. I'm trying to keep my pages loading faster - so I figure I'll bury more content for those that want it (like me!). So, if you happen to stumble across some underlined text (that actually links somewhere) - you just might get to see me ski. Gosh, I'm subtle, huh?
Trey gets his first ski lesson - WAY TO GO TREY!
We skied a lot, but we also watched a lot of kid shows
on T.V.
I think Bill really, really likes Barney.
I'm not sure who was having more fun. ;-)
The top of the Keystone lift - ready for another run
down the mountain!
While we were there, we also celebrated my Dad's 71st
B-day.
You should see
the old man zipping down the slopes - he's pretty quick!
And get this - when you're over 70, you get
free lift tickets AND free ski's, boots and poles - what a DEAL!
Pass the jug of wine please....
Huh? Carafe? What's a Carafe?
Everyone enjoys a tasty popsicle - and only 25 calories
each!
...keeps you in shape for more
skiing!
Each year, it seems we go through hell to get this picture.
This year was no different.
(but of course, I wouldn't have it any other way)
C'mon kids - time to go home.
EDIT (12/27/04): I found these pics - and they are too good not to add....
