After Christmas, we met the Stewarts for a family vacation to Universal Studios and Disney World, where we rang in the new year. I took so many pictures and video, that I decided to break it up into several pages. This is Day 3 - Animal Kingdom.
This was my first visit to Disney's Animal Kingdom, and I must say that I was very impressed. The attention to detail that Disney uses is simply amazing.
Welcome to the Animal Kingdom!
As you walk
into the park, the first thing you notice is the huge tree.
Bubbles~!
It's called the Tree of Life, and if you look close you can see all types of
animals.
The Everest themed roller coaster was really cool.
The Yeti tears up the track, and you end up going backwards for part of the
ride.
Austin and his pet 'Hunter'
We took the Safari ride - a really neat way to see lots of animals up close.
Again, Disney does an amazing job making everything look as authentic as possible.
The boys really enjoyed it.
Yes, we were VERY close to the animals.
Then we loaded on the train to get to the other side of the park.
