Nickelback and Seether - Houston Toyota Center

I have been a HUGE Seether fan for several years now - and I will not miss an opportunity to see them. So when I heard they were coming to Houston with Nickelback, I knew I had to go. Yeah, I know a lot of people hate Nickelback - and I will admit I'm not their biggest fan. But listen, if you haven't seen them play live - you really are missing out on a good show.

Not long after I got my tickets, I received an e-mail from the Seether fan club, about the possibility of a meet-and-greet before the show. A chance to meet Seether - HELL YEAH!! So I purchased my 'Chosen Few' T-shirt, and anxiously waited for the day when I would meet 'the man' - Shaun Morgan, and the rest of the band, Dale, John and Troy.

It was a big crowd outside the Toyota Center

About an hour before the doors were open to the public, the 'Chosen Few' were let inside, and we made our way past several security check points, into the arena, onto the floor, and then back stage to see SEETHER!!! We lined up against the wall, as each band member came by, shook our hand, chatted for just a second, and autographed something. We were told that we only had a short amount of time, so we could only get one thing signed. I had all my Seether CD's - but decided to have them sign 'Finding Beauty' ....I guess just because I thought it would show up the best. Everything went by so fast - I though perhaps I would tell Shaun that he was on my short-list of talented artists who I've been inspired by over the years - bands like Led Zeppelin, Pearl Jam. Tool - but I think I said something like 'It's great to meet you man!' ....and that was it.

After everything was signed, each person got their picture taken with the band. ...this kid obviously has a cool dad.

And the way they were talking, I thought these girls were gonna strip for the band - hehehe.

After our picture was taken with the band - that was it. We walked out the door, and back onto the floor of the Toyota Center. If I wasn't meeting up with my wife and friends, I would have just stayed on the floor - front and center right on the rail. But, we had good seats, so I was happy to just relax, with a cold beer and a bag of peanuts for dinner.
